Top 10 Anime Mullet Hairstyles

Top 10 Anime Mullet Hairstyles

Anime characters are known for their unique and often outrageous hairstyles. Today, we’re going to focus on one such badass haircut, the anime mullets.

From spiky to curly, and everything in between, anime hairstyles are a reflection of the character’s personality and style. One hairstyle that has been gaining popularity in the anime world is the mullet.

The mullet is a hairstyle that is short on the top and sides, but long in the back. It’s a bold and daring look that has been embraced by many anime characters. In this article, we’ll take a look at the top 10 anime mullet hairstyles that have captured our attention.

10. Kunikida and Fukuzawa (Bungo Stray Dogs)

Kunikida and Fukuzawa

We begin with Kunikida Doppo and Yukichi Fukuzawa from Bungo Stray Dogs. These guys are easily two of the most handsome men in the series.

What I find particularly amusing is that despite being two of the Agency’s, if not the entire series’, most obedient and dependable characters, they both have quite badass mullets.

Since Doppo normally wears his hair up in a ponytail, it might be a little harder to see, but his hair is obviously much shorter on top and in the front. Genuine, full-fledged Mullet! I suppose that for these two, business is at the front and lengthy business is in the back.

9. Nakago (Fushigi Yuugi)

Nakago (Fushigi Yuugi)

Nakago is the nineth character on our list. He is the bad guy and has a lot of charm. He easily makes everyone he meets feel both amazed and scared. Because of having been abused, he finally pulls away and thinks a lot.

His platinum-blonde hair falls to his shoulders and has a small wave on top. It did when he was younger, too. His eyes are very bright blue. Nakago seems heartless, but his bad childhood explains why he picks the people he cares about.

8. Kawaki (Boruto)

Kawaki (Boruto)

The other key character in the Boruto series, Kawaki, is shown to be intensely battle-oriented and a formidable user of the “Karma.” He is only featured for the first few minutes in the anime and has a few panels in the first chapter of the Boruto manga.

He received his initial Karma from Isshiki Otsutsuki, who transformed Kawaki into a vehicle for his rebirth. After failing to accomplish so, Kawaki loses his Karma but regains it as a result of Amado altering his body.

Despite having received hand-to-hand combat training from Jigen and Naruto, Adult Kawaki prefers to use a pole equipped with Stage 3 Karma.

7. Kija (Yona of the Dawn)

Kija (Yona of the Dawn)

Let me begin by mentioning that Kija from Yona of the Dawn looks fantastic. Not to mention, his mullet hairstyle is really pleasing to the eye. Anime boys with white hair are nice. But I have to admit that no other white-haired boy would have this hairstyle.

It was difficult for me to understand how such a handsome boy could have such an unusual haircut. In the end, attractiveness prevailed. It helps because, from the front, it appears to be a bob! I doubt that I’ve ever seen a mullet with such a stylized appearance in person. It might be quite remarkable, and it might not even be that bad.

6. Sosuke Aizen (Bleach)

Sosuke Aizen (Bleach)

This is Sōsuke Aizen. He used to be the captain and is a nice, soft-spoken, smart guy. Sōsuke Aizen, the former captain, is a polite and quiet thinker.

When he got to Hueco Mundo, he took off his glasses, ran his fingers through his hair, and showed off his scary eyes. His hair had also changed a lot since the last time we saw him. It was now swept back, and one piece was running down his face.

5. Yui (Kamigami no Asobi)

Yui (Kamigami no Asobi)

It’s only fair that Yui gets her own spot on this list, even though there are a lot of other great mulets in this show. Who knew that a mullet was the best hairstyle ever?

The writers of Kamigami no Asobi thought it would be a good idea to give their main character and viewer stand-in a long, flowing mullet for some reason. The end result is a cute but a bit messy otome-based inverted harem. It’s even worse that she pulls it off well.

4. Arisawa Tatsuki (Bleach)

Arisawa Tatsuki (Bleach)

Arisawa Tatsuki from Bleach is in fourth place. Tatsuki Arisawa and her childhood friend Ichigo Kurosaki both go to Karakura High School. She is a tomboy because she has black hair, brown eyes, and is about normal height.

Her hair used to be short and dark, and the sides were always spiked out to make her look less girly. Tatsuki’s hair is much longer now, seventeen months later, and it falls past her shoulders.

3. Ken Ryuguji (Tokyo Revengers)

Ken Ryuguji (Tokyo Revengers)

Ken Ryuguji, one of the best characters in anime verse, is impossible to overlook. Although he sports a mullet, he has entirely shaved his sideburns. He is one of the main characters in Tokyo Revengers and has blonde hair.

He inked a dragon on the left temple of his body. He goes by the moniker Draken and is the most attractive male character in the Tokyo Revengers series. My particular favorite character is Draken.

2. Natsuno (Shiki)

Natsuno (Shiki)

A series that still bothers me is Shiki. There is much to unpack there, and it may be one of the best studies of the vampire concept in existence across all media. It’s also a wild-haired show!

When Natsuno’s rocker purple classic mullet is one of the most wearable and traditional hairstyles in the series, it’s revealing. It really seems wrong to include such a dark and terrible program as Shiki in such a ridiculous list. However, I’m still ranking Natsuno at number 2 on my list.

1. Aoba (Dramatical Murder)

Aoba (Dramatical Murder)

Yet, Aoba the Great is still my mullet king and the only one. Not only does this guy have one of the nicest mullets around—it goes all the way down his back and is full, thick, and blue! The hair in question, though, is alive! In the sense that it has a fully working nerve ending that is connected to Aoba’s nervous system. What does it do? No! Wow, that’s really cool.

They try to tell us that Aoba hasn’t cut his hair in years because it hurts… A story that makes sense! I mean, I’m not going to believe that his guy doesn’t go to the barber every other week to keep up this look! If you want perfection, you have to spend money!

This list has five choices, and two of them are reverse harm. One is a BL harem, one is a CBDCT show, and the other two are known for having very beautiful, mostly male casts. See!!??!!! I told you all!!! I am not crazy!!! I’m not sure why, but anime is trying to make me believe that mullets are the most attractive haircut ever…
